The name Rowley Leigh is synonymous with names like Kensington Place, Le Café Anglais, Le Gavroche and the Soho House group’s Café Monico brasserie.
Part memoir, part cookbook, this is best of Rowley’s work since he started in the ‘70s. Adorned but photographs from the immensely talented Andy Sewell, our job was simple – to pick the right shot for the cover, and execute it in a stylish way.
The crab claw and hammer suggest the strength simplicity of Rowley’s cooking philosophy, no messing about. The ‘Long and Messy Business’ of the title is actually the cooking and consumption of a lobster.
