A mischievous boy decides to live in a Guava tree, and become the local holy man.

Seemingly gifted with foretelling fortunes and giving guidance (when in fact it’s just local gossip he learned working at the local post office), Sampath Chawla marvels the locals and the mischievous monkeys that live there with him, but it all comes to a surprising end.

What a book, and what a cover job. We were asked to produce a simple illustration for the book, following the success of our Alexander McCall Smith illustrations. Coupled with some hand drawn type, we see Sampath’s feet dangling out of the tree. Simple and effective as a thumbnail.
